9 Important Qualities from Robin Sharma’s Book ‘Who Will Cry When You Die’

9 Important Qualities from Robin Sharma’s Book ‘Who Will Cry When You Die’

Robin Sharma is a very renowned author in the field of self-help books. His works such as ‘The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari’ and ‘The 5 AM Club’ are just amazing and worldwide bestseller also. ‘Who Will Cry When You Die’ is one of his short books of all the time but with great life lessons. And today, we will be talking about this. So, these are the 9 Qualities.

  1. Talk to Yourself: The first point is to talk to yourself, the soul within your body. At this point, he referred to the affirmation technique which is very beneficial. According to him, you should feel in your mind and soul that you are blessed and happy to be alive at this particular moment. It will help you as motivation and you will be more mindful to take care of your surroundings.
  2. Think About Your Ideal Neighbourhood: This point is not but a reminder to you that you should focus on the next level of your mindset, work ethics, etc. If you have been inspired by any person then try to keep the person an ideal neighbor of you. Don’t take it literally, here the author not saying to buy a flat near your favorite self-help author or your favorite cricketer. Here the main focus is that you should follow their ideologies and try to learn their work ethics.
  3.  Enjoy the Path, Not just the Reward: It is a very important lesson which we all should remember all the time. It doesn’t matter in which field we are, we all must enjoy the process and not focus on the reward. And it is depicted very well in our (India) Philosophical text Shrimad Bhagwad Gita, “Just do your work and not focus on the results.” Because, if you focus on the reward or the result is your main purpose then you will never succeed in your life. So, we should enjoy our work whatever it be.
  4. Master Your Time: The author dedicates this point to time management. The richest man in the world and a poor man are different in their own circumstances. But, they have one thing in common that is the time. And not only for them, but we all also have the same amount of time, twenty-four hours a day. But, the management and proper use of this time make us different and unique. So, it is one type of skill that we should learn and apply to our lives.
  5. Connect with Nature: If we live in the ancient times where Mankind just arrived then it will not be a point of this book by the author. But, the reality is we live in an era where distractions are always available to us. And, sometimes we deeply enter into our artificial and materialistic achievements, we forget to connect with nature and remember our roots. So, it is very important to keep in touch with nature as it is the creator of us or the beautiful creation of God.
  6. Practice Forgiveness: It is one of the best qualities which we must have in our lives to become a better person. Forgiving someone doesn’t mean you are a loser rather it ensures you are generous. By forgiving any person, you move on to the next thing and focus only on the positive aspects of life.
  7. Learn to Meditate: I think we all are familiar with the word Meditation. But, how much we actually do is very rare. According to the author, it helps us to perform our duties very well and makes communication with our body and mind. And not only the author but also the monks tell that it is a very good weapon to train your mind.
  8. See your day as your LIfe: Here, the writer emphasizes the value of present by this point. We don’t have the control to interfere with the past as well as the future also. But, we have the steering of the present, that’s why it is such a valuable moment for us. So, live in the present and work on the possibilities you can do. Because the wisely taken step in the present can make your future bright and more fulfilled.
  9. Be Humble: Last but not the least, Humility is a very important factor that can help us to grow as a person. And that’s why the author did not forget to include this particular point. If we find any successful and great people in every field then we can see humbleness is the common thing among them. Though there are exceptions although it is a fact. So, try to be humble and generous and move on towards your goals.
